Ana Hernandez, Executive Assistant
Alami Law
Alami Law was founded in 2004 to provide high-quality legal services to immigrant communities in California and throughout the United States.
For more than 18 years, Alami Law has helped immigrants achieve their American dream, just as they have achieved theirs, by providing high-quality, honest, and affordable legal services.
I interviewed Ana Hernandez, who oversees the firm's activities as the executive assistant.
Before 2018, Alami Law was a LawLogix customer. Unsatisfied, they switched to Cerenade, hoping it would provide the form functionality and integrations they desired.
But this hope didn't last long.
Alami Law quickly realized that Cerenade could not deliver what they promised during their sales conversations.
Cerenade promised a ready-to-use immigration solution that included onboard training, auto-populating forms, and case management integrations with other software.
Unfortunately, features they were "sold " were unavailable, so Alami Law spent lots of time communicating back and forth to set up the software.
And when it came to filling out immigration forms, Cerenade expected the firm to handle the form data mapping themselves. Ana and her team felt uncomfortable managing these technical demands.
As the firm grew, Ana needed to understand her team members' performance to provide extra support.
She wanted performance insights like:
Cerenade has a reporting feature, but it turned out to be complicated, so the firm hired an external consultant to help.
This consultant became an additional running cost.
Alami Law tried Cerenade but just wasn't happy. It was time to move away.
They spent too much time troubleshooting shortcomings, and enough was enough.
Also, Alami Law did not appreciate that the software couldn't do what they were "sold," which impacted their trust.
A new immigration lawyer joining Alami Law shared his previous firm's experience using Docketwise as their immigration form and legal case management software solution.
Ana and her team researched our platform and scheduled a free demo.
The demo went well. Ana was able to get answers to her questions and see that she could achieve what the team needed.
Alami Law switched from Cerenade to Docketwise, and today, Docketwise acts as the firm's hub for case management, immigration forms, and CRM.
"Docketwise has everything we want from text messaging, email, integration with Gsuite, .etc And the CRM is great b/c we get valuable data instantly. With Cerenade, we had to use an external consultant to understand the data."
Ana enjoys the one-on-one support that she receives from the Docketwise team.
Firms receive a full-time customer success manager. What's nice about this level of connectedness is that Ana and her teammates can get personalized answers to all sorts of questions.
With onboarding, feature integrations, and reporting, Ana has been able to explain what they are aiming to do, and her Docketwise success manager guided her to troubleshoot any area needed.
"Everyone is quick to respond on the Docketwise team, it's an all-in-one solution, and I haven't seen a platform that has it all for an immigration firm."
Switching to Docketwise has been great for onboarding new attorneys onto the team. They have found Docketwise's forms and case management portal easy to pick up and have yet to run into issues.
For existing team members, Docketwise has been supporting the data migration to ensure that the data is accurate and avoids duplicates.
